Why do i always feel very lonely and as an outcast?

...See more i tried many times before to be like people and fit in but i always seemed annoying and people hated me and didn't like me, so i stopped trying with people. i moved to new schools many times because of life and now i am in a new country and many things in my life changed and happened and i don't want to talk about them. so i decided to stay myself, grumpy and not approachable. but then i decided to make friends and indeed i started to make few people like me but then i suspected that i make all of the effort and the people that i thought were nice turned out to be normal and they didn't really put too much effort. so i stopped trying to be friendly with them and decided to stay myself. and even with me being myself or changing myself it never helped. so i stopped trying again knowing that i will never fit in. i have now one friend, but that one friend has strict parents and she loves me but she doesn't do things to me like i do. i would surprise her a lot but she won't. she'd never do things for me. i would. and now i feel very lonely and depressed and i just want to stay away from everybody because i feel that i don't want to have a social life at all but at the same time i feel like i am very lonely. what should i do? what should i do to stop this sadness????
