Why do i always feel very lonely and as an outcast?

i tried many times before to be like people and fit in but i always seemed annoying and people hated me and didn't like me, so i stopped trying with people.

i moved to new schools many times because of life and now i am in a new country and many things in my life changed and happened and i don't want to talk about them. so i decided to stay myself, grumpy and not approachable. but then i decided to make friends and indeed i started to make few people like me but then i suspected that i make all of the effort and the people that i thought were nice turned out to be normal and they didn't really put too much effort.

so i stopped trying to be friendly with them and decided to stay myself. and even with me being myself or changing myself it never helped. so i stopped trying again knowing that i will never fit in. i have now one friend, but that one friend has strict parents and she loves me but she doesn't do things to me like i do.

i would surprise her a lot but she won't. she'd never do things for me. i would.

and now i feel very lonely and depressed and i just want to stay away from everybody because i feel that i don't want to have a social life at all but at the same time i feel like i am very lonely. what should i do? what should i do to stop this sadness????

Hi there,

The world can be a scary place. People are not always who they say they are. They disappoint you. They hurt you. But all is not lost.

I think the question is, Do you like you? Do you like who you are? Because if your answer is Yes, then you're fine. You will be fine.

The world can be a lonely place. I've been traveling for three months and even though I've met a lot of people on the way, I've never experienced loneliness like this before. You cry, your body aches, you feel as though there's noone to turn to.

I commend you for finding this site and finding people to turn to.

If you love yourself, others will follow suit. The confidence you exude when you know who you are attracts people. You become attractive. It's not about looks. It's not about hair or body type. It's about how you feel about yourself and what you do to make yourself happy. Friends will come and go, my friend, but you have to live with yourself every day. Be someone others want to know! Be interesting! Be creative! Be loving! Be kind! Be you!

If they don't like it, screw 'em.

Xox.

First of all, every one cares what others think to an extent. So it's okay if you do, too. We all just want to be loved at the end of the day.

Secondly, anxiety is not fun. I suffer from it myself. It is something that takes those small, everyday tasks and turns them into feats sometimes. It's also something you can work towards taking control of. I should say, though, that nobody hates you, especially not everybody. For someone to truly hate you, you'd have to be a terrible person. I can tell just by your posts here, that you are not a terrible person. In fact, I looked up your screen name and you are a listener! You like to help others! That makes you a very understanding and compassionate person, not a terrible one!

You have a lot to offer! Some people may not see that. That's their loss. But as long as you invest your heart into those who do love you, you'll find great reward.

Hey friend :)i was reading your post asecondeago i can'thalpit to notice that you said when you're being yourself you're alone and when you start being like people you made friends but you didn't like it because you weren't being yourself, ( i hope i got that right ) .

Well the reason these people don't Have to try hard because maybe they were being themselfs and it doesn't fit with your self, But that doesn't mean you don't fit anywhere, There are differnt people all around the world, each have differnt personalities and it is very hard for them to find each other, and until they do they feel often lonly or like they don't fit in anywhere,

there are people out there like you, and when you find them you'll realize how effortless it is to be around them. :)

But you Have to try, Never lose hops because at the end only a few are born where they belong, The others are lucky to have the plesure of searching for it, that way at the end they are fully satisfied :)

Hope the best for you

It may be helpful to try to identify what is your thoughts as a result of anxiety.A lot of times, anxiety might cause us to think that people hate us or don't like us when that isn't the truth. There is simply confirmation bias coming into play. If we believe that people hate us, then we may try to find reasons why in order to solidfy this belief. Even if we ask the individuals if they do, we may not believe them if they tell us they do not hate us. It does not actually mean that people hate us or anything like that. Anxiety just makes us believe this.

It's also good to remember that people do not express themselves the same ways we express ourselves. So while we may behave one way to show that we care, others may not behave in the same way. That doesn't mean that they don't care. It just means that they have a different way of showing it. Friendship isn't always easy. It occasionally takes a lot of communication to understand each other and the meanings behind their actions or words.
