After the breakup love?
Relationship Stress / by cozyypicnic143

...See more So after breaking up with my boyfriend of 3 months (we were best friends - kind of flirty - before dating), we decided to not tell people we broke up. It's almost like we're "keeping up appearances", if that makes any sense. At the beginning of the relationship, we were saying "i love you" all the time. But then quickly, we realized we wanted to take things slow, so we stopped saying it and I told him I would kinda go on his timing for that because I didn't want to scare him off, basically. After now having "broken up" (it's essentially everything we did when we were dating, but without the label of being), he has said "i love you" numerous times, and I'm not sure in what way he means it. Like a platonic, friendship-y way (we didn't ever say it before dating)? In an actually in-love way? Very confused and lost. I don't know how to respond when he says it, and I normally just say "you too" because I do love him. But, I'm not sure how to proceed. I guess it just feels wrong? Because we're supposed to be broken up, but no one knows, and we're not really broken up anyways, honestly. Any advice on how to proceed (with caution)?

After a breakup friendship?

...See more So I broke up with my boyfriend of 3 months. However, I think now, we are just doing the same things that we were doing during the relationship, except without the labels of boyfriend and girlfriend. Is this unhealthy? Is it okay? I don't want to lose him as a friend, and am worried that if I say something along the lines of that we should stop being friends with benefits (which we mutually agreed to), that I will lose him. Plus my love language is physical touch, so it makes me feel loved and valued and important in life when he's touching me. And I don't want to lose that either (kind of why we went to fwb)
