...See more I've been heavily drinking for 4 years now. Lots lead me down that path. Was recently diagnosed with BPD and that just made it worse. My tolerance just grew stronger and stronger. I blackout regularly. I do things and don't remember. I finally have decided to put my foot down and stop all together. It isn't good for my overall health... Not that I ever didn't acknowledge that. It was always a coping mechanism. I would not feel anything due to mental numbness, and drinking allowed me to open up to close friends and let it out. Then it became a habit. And the more I did it, the more I relied on it. I didn't get the physical hangovers, moreso emotional hangovers. I realized I wasn't being fair to those that loved me being that way. Idk. But does anyone have any tips to stay on this path? I know if I even have one I will spiral again. I messaged my closest friends asking them to not offer it to me or even mention it, they are all super supportive. But I haven't been around them since and I am super nervous. How do I keep busy? How do I distract myself when the cravings hit? It's already a struggle and it's only been a few days. Also, a side note: I know I have an addictive personality so I never tried anything different. I knew they would spiral too. How do I for lack of better words.... Get addicted to something good? Ughhhhhh
