...See more Hi everyone, hope the day is treating you well. I'd like to talk about my disabilities. I was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 3. This affects your mobility and weakens the muscles. For me, it affected my legs. I'm able to walk but only short distances and I can't stay up on my feet for too long. I'm unable to do anything physical that requires me to use my legs. Ever since I was young, many people would make fun of me and even pretend to walk the same way I do. Nobody cared about my feelings being hurt which slowly led me to suicidal thoughts. Nowadays, I've come to terms with this but every once in a while, I'll get a suicidal thought pop into my head. The next one is epilepsy. I was diagnosed with complex partial seizures at the age of 12 and that turned everything upside down for me. My attendance in school was poor, students thought I'm just making it up, etc. I don't understand how people can think I'm making it up... I start college next month which I'm excited about but I'm afraid my seizures will interfere with my college life... I hope nothing bad will happen to me. Anyway, that's all I have about my disabilities. If anyone has advice for how to get through college, let me know. Thank you for reading and have a good day.
