Any tips on sleep?

...See more I am bipolar and like many I struggle with maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. So when I'm manic I'll get around 4 hours and when I'm depressed I get about 10 (I'm sure you see the issue)... Anyways, I eat dinner then watch a few episodes of a show, brush my teeth and then its time for bed. But then I can't sleep so I pick up my phone, even though I know I shouldn't. I don't know if there's any tips on ways to fall asleep easier or better methods to keep myself accountable so I don't turn to my phone when I can't sleep, but any advice would be helpful!
