...See more Hello and thanks for reading, I have been struggling with food addiction for years. I eat heavy quantities of junk food. I live with my partner and my son who is year and a half. I hide chocolate and I eat it when I am alone. Later I throw the empty bags “hidding it” aswell. I think it started as a way of “eating my emotions”. I compensated that I was feeling emotionally unwell with food. Chocolates and sweets made me feel better. That was years ago. But now I don’t have any issues, I am happy with my life. And I cannot stop overeating and always I think that I will stop buying junk food so I won’t eat it at home but I end up on the shop and buying again. Or thinking about doing it the day after if I couldn’t. When my boyfriend is at home I can control myself because I feel ashamed if he finds out. He kind of know something but I am sure he is not aware of the total truth. I think about therapy but cannot afford it… I know this means nothing, but I am not fat or have any issues with my weight. I am really scared for my health as I been eating so unhealthy and large quantities for long time.. Anyone on the same path who would like to talk? Maybe some tips or something that would help me?
