On a Break

...See more I have been dating a man who’s had a positive impact on my life for almost 2 years now. Except, 2 weeks ago he suggested we go on a break. It was very emotional for the both of us and we both miss each other lots. The reasoning for this break was so I could become more independent (I have co-dependency issues from past traumas) and he could learn to communicate better & grow to be more kind and appreciative. He made it very clear that he wants to be with me and this break is purely out of love because he wants us to be healthy as possible. Another issue I have is with my self confidence because I’m not his type, as he’s very into blondes and I’m a brunette. It makes me feel like I’ll never be enough for him, like I’ll never be that “dream woman”. I am a person who loves very hard and wears my heart on my sleeve so it’s been a horrible month for me. I am seriously struggling. Going from lots of contact to none at all has been extremely hard. Especially due to my co-dependence and attachment anxieties. I have been doing decent but mentally, I am falling apart. I have only been distracting myself, not actually coping and working through it. Please, please help.
