My name is Emily. I'm a teenager, but given my childhood circumstances, I had to grow up a lot faster than my peers. I have had my own struggles that shaped me, struggle is a little bit of an understatement, but they have given me the ability to help others. I'd like to go further than the people around me, so hopefully some of you will give me the chance to help you overcome or deal with the cards you have been given in life. I'm an active participant in school, and also participate as a peer mediator, so hopefully that helps to qualify me as well as my own experience and stories of others I've influenced.
