feeling bad vibes from someone, need advice

...See more so, someone added me in another platform. we had a conversation. they said some things with smug emotes that made me start feeling bad vibes from them. when i expressed confusion, they apologized with a smug emote next to it, making me wonder if their apology was genuine anyway, i really feel like getting rid of this person; but at the same time, i think i would want to give them a bit of chance and see how our interactions go before i ultimately decide if getting rid of them is the best decision or not. sadly here's the dilemma. i REALLY want to get rid of them but at the same time, i also want to see how things would go between us any advice? also sorry if this sounded pathetic
