...See more I am 30 years old man from India. I recently broke up with my 25 years old gf. We had been in relationship for three years. But our relationship does not seem to go anywhere. My parents had been pressuring me to get married, so I had asked her to talk to her parents as well. But she is not settled in her career right now so she wants to wait for two years before she can disclose our relationship to her dad. She is afraid that if she talk to her dad now, he would disagree and not let us be together. She wants to get settled first and then tell her dad so that if he does not agree she can be independent and run away and get married. But this is too uncertain for me, I am not in support of running away as it will cause lot of grief to our families. I want to try and convince every one but she is saying I can't do that until she is settled i.e. I have to just wait for two years and do nothing. What will I tell my parents for the time being ? We both love each other and I have been feeling completely empty and lost since we broke up. But I don't know what to do now ..I don't have a solution. Should I move on or be with her for two years and then try for marriage ? Am I wrong to not agree for running away ?
