...See more Love and care always felt conditional, Tied to vulnerability and pain, A cycle of being hurt, and then cared for. Let me voluntarily surrender — To give up control, Within a trusting hand. This desire feels both soothing and reparative. Show me how dependence might feel, How to be cared for, Not because of my vulnerabilities, But alongside them. Help me untangle these ties of hardship, Ease my sense of shame, Not for the release alone, But for the closeness I seek — To finally feel whole in the care I deserve. Teach me how surrender might heal, How the strength in submission Can feel like a form of care, Not the absence of love, But a deeper form of it — A love that shapes, A love that scars, A love that repairs.
