Something I wrote the other day
Love and care always felt conditional,
Tied to vulnerability and pain,
A cycle of being hurt, and then cared for.
Let me voluntarily surrender —
To give up control,
Within a trusting hand.
This desire feels both soothing and reparative.
Show me how dependence might feel,
How to be cared for,
Not because of my vulnerabilities,
But alongside them.
Help me untangle these ties of hardship,
Ease my sense of shame,
Not for the release alone,
But for the closeness I seek —
To finally feel whole in the care I deserve.
Teach me how surrender might heal,
How the strength in submission
Can feel like a form of care,
Not the absence of love,
But a deeper form of it —
A love that shapes,
A love that scars,
A love that repairs.

That was very beautiful. It's tone was so sweet and open and it's message so endearing. Showing such vulnerability yet not in a piteous way, but one which fosters openness and a sense of leaning in to one who can be relied on and feel safe with. It's themes of healing and affection without any transactional attitudes is one that certainly speaks to sympathetic hearts. It was soothing just to read it.
Thank you, I often lack the courage to share what I write. Reading your comment was beautifully soothing. Sending you love!

I completely empathise with the daunting nature of putting ones thoughts and feelings out there. You did it wonderfully and i hope we all get to see more from you. *smiles*
