...See more Hi all, I'm Dawn. I'm 36 and have been lurking around for a month or so. I'm looking for wise, older listeners who might help me figure out how to get my life together. Social anxiety, growing depression, and possible sexuality crises are my demons. I'm still a little intimidated to click random listeners, and from what I've seen of the forums it can take a long time to find the right person. I know I won't have the energy to explain my story to every single listener, especially the younger ones, until that happens, heh.

...See more I'm still new to all this. I was browsing listeners to narrow down "over 18" and in my country, and then going by their reviews and ratings to connect with someone reputable. I was waiting to connect, it said "estimated time 2 minutes" but it was more like 10. So I went back to my account for "chat with a new listener," got the bot, and it finally connected me to someone. But this person was brand new and sounded very young by their typing style. They were not communicative at all and disconnected with me after a minute. I came here for encouraging and grounded listeners. How can I make sure to connect to one? Or should I stick to the forums? I'm 30+, I'd like to find someone my age who might understand what I'm going through. I'm not here to commiserate with teens.
