Self-Doubt

...See more Over the summer and since I’ve been back in college I can’t stop doubting myself, my worth, my abilities, and whether I’ll ever be able to live the kind of life I want. I have been having bad anxiety around my roommates (intense muscle tension, difficulty breathing, and unable to concentrate) and when I go out onto campus alone. I’m constantly worrying that this feeling will always come up in these situations and that I’ll never be free from this anxiety. I don’t want to be so self-conscious and have all my social interactions be tainted by worry and self-critical thoughts. I also keep feeling like I’m not funny or smart or interesting enough, and keep finding evidence for it (even though I know it’s easy when you’re looking). I just want to focus on things I actually care about like my friends/family, hobbies, and classes. I don’t know if I’m putting too much pressure on myself but I just can’t concentrate and feel like I’m incompetent in so many areas of my life. I just want to feel secure in myself and know that although I obviously won’t be perfect, I am still a worthwhile person and I can be happy with the things I do have going for me. But I’m finding that difficult at the moment. Can anyone relate/has anyone had a similar experience? If so, did you find anything that helped you let go of these worries and self-doubt?
