...See more So....where to begin. I am so, so so hurt right now. My boyfriend, who I've almost been with for five years, broke up with me last Monday and I am so heartbroken. It literally feels like someone is squishing my heart in between their palms. A little backstory as to how we got here- so back in 2016 when he had graduated, he ended up going to the local university here in my city to pursue creative writing so he could engineer it to being a lyricist. He has always loved making music and he has always had a knack for it, he is very talented. Well he didn't enjoy the program, dropped out very suddenly, and then in 2017 he found Full Sail University. Now, for those of you who live in the U.S., I'm sure you know what a for-profit institution is but for those of you who don't let me explain. A for profit university is a business. It is not an educational system backed by the government or state or city, it is literally like if someone decided to open a business and decided that education would be what they are selling. They tend to offer courses from people who seem to know what theyre talking about and they promise to send you all the materials needed for your degree path. They usually promise scheduling flexibility for people who dont have the time or attention span to attend 'normal universities' and many of their consumers are people taking online classes, just like my ex.
