Hey there I'm Izzy, welcome to my profile! 👋

Apologies, I am unavailable to take new member chats thank you for understanding 💕 Please note: I am currently unable to be online often so response time may be longer than usual. I usually aim to respond within 72 hours

Sometimes talking and opening up can be difficult to do, and that's okay! I can't promise to fix your problems, but I can promise to be here and offer a friendly listening ear for you to talk to and share your story!

I have a genuine passion for supporting others and I am committed to establishing a secure, inviting and non-judgmental space for our conversations. Whether it's something troubling you or simply what's on your mind, feel free to reach out at any time. Your messages are always welcome and I'll respond as soon as possible.

Please feel free to message me anytime and I will get back to you as soon as possible. When messaging me, please refrain from just sending only a 'Hi', please also state what you'd like support with 💙

👂What to expect👂

I offer a safe, non-judgemental space for you to share your story and feel heard. I'm here to listen and support you, in a warm and welcoming space where you can freely express yourself. Whether you're facing challenges, experiencing emotional distress, or simply need someone to talk to, you don't have to go through it alone. Your feelings and experiences matter and I'm here for you. ✨

In our conversations, my primary goal is to provide a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. I prioritise listening attentively, ensuring you have my undivided attention. I approach each conversation with empathy and compassion, following your lead and using open-ended questions to help you think deeply and understand yourself better. ✨

Colours of Availability:

💚 Green: I'm online and currently taking new chats. Feel free to message me and I will respond shortly 💚
🧡 Orange: I'm online, but I may be busy with other members or listeners right now. Feel free to leave me a message, and I will respond when I am free 🧡
❤️ Red: I'm currently offline or unable to take chats right now. Feel free to leave me a message, and I will reply the next time I am online ❤️

When it comes to these specific chats:
I'm currently not taking chats on Sexual health, age regression and Cancer/chronic pain/diabetes/disabilities as I do not feel confident enough providing the support you deserve with these topics. I don't mind briefly discussing these topics if they come up alongside another topic; I want all members to get the best possible support and I believe that I am not experienced enough to support someone with these specific issues.

Saturday-Sunday: 11pm BST to 4pm BST // 6am ET to 11am ET

Starting a New School Year!
Student Support / by izzyy528

...See more Hey lovely Student Support community!  For many of us, a new school year is starting up and I know it can feel really different depending on where you're at. For some, it's picking things up where you left off, while for others it might feel like a whole new chapter! Both can be super exciting but also a little overwhelming!  I wanted to check in and remind you all that regardless of what place you're in right now. It's completely okay to have mixed feelings! Some days may feel full of energy and motivation while others you may wonder how you'll get through all the work or changes -- both are normal and you are not alone.  One thing that helps me is finding little routines early on. If you've seen me around, you'll know that I'm a huge fan of starting small -- not spending too much time on a task, setting regular breaks and of course, celebrating small wins!  I'd absolutely love to hear from you all! What's something you're looking forward to as things begin and what's something you're a little nervous about?

Learning from our failures!
Student Support / by izzyy528

...See more Heyyy Student Support Community!  I wanted to open up a conversation about something that we all go through but not always talk about - failure.  Whether it's a bad grade, a missed opportunity or a personal goal that we didn't reach, failure can really hurt. But what I've noticed makes all the difference is shifting HOW we see it. Instead of asking 'what went wrong?', I've started asking 'what can I learn from this?'. This is where some of the biggest growth moments happen - after things don't go the way we want them to. I know it's not always easy in the moment so slow down and give yourself some time to reflect. Failing has taught me resilience, time management and even self compassion. Forgive yourself for those failures and give yourself space for more growth. Have you learned something valuable from a failure?  How do you remind yourself it's okay to mess up sometimes?

The 3 R’s of Habit Formation: How to Build (or Break) Student Habits!
Student Support / by izzyy528
Last post
March 17th, 2025
...See more Hey everyoneee! 👋 Ever told yourself you’d start revising earlier, keep your notes organized, or finally stop scrolling on social media during study sessions… only to fall back into old habits? Yeah, same. 😅 But the problem isn’t you - it’s the way habits work! Whether you're building good habits (like daily revision) or breaking bad ones (like last-minute cramming), understanding the 3 R’s of habit formation can make a huge difference! Step 1: Choose a Specific Starting Point First, identify an important time in your week to start or break a habit. Be specific! For example: Saturday morning after breakfast. The 3 R’s of Habit Formation 🔄 Reminder – The trigger that starts the habit or leads to the habit you want to break. (Example: Setting your books on your desk before bed reminds you to study in the morning. Or, going on your phone and scrolling on social media triggers procrastination.) ⚙️ Routine – The habit itself. (Example: Making a cup of tea, then sitting down to study for a set amount of time.) 🏆 Reward – The benefit that reinforces the habit. (Example: Watching Netflix, going for a walk, or simply ticking off a checkbox.) How Can This Help? ✅ Want to stop procrastinating? Make starting easy! (E.g., open your textbook as a reminder.) 📵 Struggle with distractions? Change the routine! (E.g., put your phone in another room or use the Flora app.) 💡 Need motivation? Choose a reward that actually feels good! (E.g., after finishing an assignment, treat yourself to an episode of your favorite show.) Small changes add up! Instead of relying on motivation (which fades fast), structuring your habits around these 3 steps makes them way more likely to stick! 💡 What’s one habit you’re trying to build or break as a student, and how do you plan to use the 3 R’s to help? Let’s all share and support each other! 🎯📚✨
