...See more hi guys :) so ive been struggling with self harm for around 6 years now. its started quite early on in my childhood and it just seems to give me a sense of control and release in the midst of all the chaos i call a life. i constantly get the urges to do it again, but since the beginning of 2019, ive been doing well with just keeping myself safe. in the last 2 weeks or so, i found a way to make me stop thinking about the bad times when i look at my scars. ive begin to draw on my scars. since most of my scars are healed, i started drawing flowers on them. flowers bring me a certain kind of joy and appreciation for the world around us and for God. i feel like this has helped with my depression and anxiety a little bit, just knowing that when people see my scars, they see something a little bit more beautiful. Very insightful and intelligent. I felt understood and we could try and talk it out and figure out some solutions. Also helpful at trying to find where the root of the problem might be, so it could be better to start getting better :)!
