My name is Kenopsxa 🇧🇷! Nice to meet you!
I am here to listen to people and understand more of their feelings. I have a dream of becoming a psychologist and a volunteer one day, I believe this website is my first step into a self-learning journey. Here I learnt that I am capable of being warm, comprehensive and empathetic. I want to show people all these good qualities and let them know they also have these qualities themselves.
Kenopsia - n. the eerie, forlorn atmosphere of a place that’s usually bustling with people but is now abandoned and quiet—a school hallway in the evening, an unlit office on a weekend, vacant fairgrounds—an emotional afterimage that makes it seem not just empty but hyper-empty, with a total population in the negative, who are so conspicuously absent they glow like neon signs.
I was diagnosed as a bipolar last year and since then one of my biggest coping mechanisms is to pay attention to people and their own feelings. I think it's one of many things that motivates me to be a listener. Also, don't be scared of the meaning of kenopsia. Particulary, I chose this name because it's a feeling that I had many times over the years that I couldn't quite right explain and it has a special meaning for me.
