...See more I've had a really rough day. My mom has been ignoring me since this morning and only seems upset with me, not anyone else. Later, I took a 20-minute shower, and she got angry about the water, then called me "mentally ill" and said there was something wrong with my head. Those words really hurt, and I ended up crying. I know I shouldn't have stayed in the shower that long, but I don't think I deserved to be spoken to like that. I just feel really sad and invisible today. She is still ignoring me and I absolutely hate it. I have been sitting at the verge of the bed, staring at my phone for hours. I havent moved, God knows what she is gonna say to me about this later.. :/

...See more I don't understand why my mom ignores me for no reason. She only ignores me and behaves normal with my brother and her mom. I don't like it when she ignores me, why can't she talk to me like a normal adult instead of ignoring me? it's really annoying. Whenever she ignores me, I feel weird.. Like I don't know how to explain this feeling. I ask her or say something to her, she stays silent and acts like I'm not even there.. She doesnt even bother looking up from the phone or whatever she is doing. Why does she do this? I feel really hurt. Shes been ignoring me since morning today, she'd say something, like a word or two to me then nothing..

...See more I'm losing control over my education again. Today my mom told me my aunt called and said my uncle is now teaching at a coaching centre. She wants me to join his classes. My uncle doesn't charge us, so my mom immediately agreed. The problem is that I've never felt comfortable with my uncle being my teacher. I always feel stressed, nervous, and hesitant around him and I don't learn well. I even told my mom that my cousin once told me not to study maths with their dad because they thought I deserved a better teacher. My mom replied, "So what? Is your dad going to spend that much money on your education? Let them say whatever they want. You just need to study." That really hurt. It felt like she completely ignored what I was trying to say. I wasn't complaining about studying. I was trying to explain that I don't think this is the right learning environment for me. Then she told me to ask my dad if he agreed, and if he did, I'd have to start going tomorrow. I feel like everyone keeps making decisions about my education without asking how I feel. I know money is a problem but I wish someone would understand that I'm scared and uncomfortable instead of acting like my feelings don't matter. I don't know... I just needed to get this off my chest.

...See more Hi,I really wanted to vent but i dont have anyone to vent to. I mean i do..but they wouldnt care. They both would just answer in one or two word. Sometimes even 'Oh'. I dont want you to solve the problem or analyze everything or give a bunch of advice. I just want you to actually listen and respond like you care about what im saying..but you just wait for your turn to talk or just wait for the conversation to end. But enough about that lol,let me get back to what I came here to talk about. So, i have a mom, right? {wow, what a great way to start} I think she might hate me. I meann, hey she is my first ever hater afterall XD. Enough about stupid stuff..im sorry. Went to the doctor's after two years, finally lol. I have very very bad vision, unfortunately. I couldnt see clearly ever since a kid,but guess what? Instead of telling my parents,I lived with this for years, until finally,at the last of 2022,a teacher noticed and pointed it out and told me to tell my parents that i cant see and consult a doctor. Welp,we did, including my cousin too. We are close with my dad's sister, but we are not 'good' close. Did an eye check and my prescription was around -6 in both eyes, just slightly different. My cousin's was less than mine,i think it was around -1.00 or maybe 0.75 something. He is lucky.. When my parents heard '6.00', they turned to me with a shocked look. My dad's face said,"This my daughter? No way." Anyways, now to the present,as i said i went to the doctor with my mom in mid june,we actually went because my brother was having trouble seeing, and guess what? He didnt tell our parents, his teacher has also pointed about his eyes too..He is only nine years right now,he's gonna be ten next year. I was 11 when i got my eyes checked for the first time. Close enough lol..Anywayss,as we waited for our turn,i sat there with my broken glasses,{which i didnt tell my dad about because i was scared to tell him that i broke my glasses and i need new ones. I was afraid he would feel like im wasting his money} joking with my little brother,so he wouldnt feel nervous or anything. My mom and dad were there too of course. Well, you see,my mom doesnt talk with my dad,she stopped talking to him in 2018 or something,so its been a long time. She started talking to him in 2025 for 2-3 months because he was talking to another GIRL {not the first time haha} then stopped again and now she doesnt talk to him anymore. So suddenly my mom spoke up. "Your eyes were supposed to be checked two years ago but you never did anything about it. Eyes… {my name}, people see the world through their eyes. Dont you have any care for your own eyes? Why dont you care? What kind of person are you?" She was technically talking to me but I could tell she was actually directing it at my dad. She was saying it in a way that made it feel like it was about me even though it wasnt aimed at me. It still hurt though because I was the one hearing it. My dad then said,"Yeah, you get your eyes Checked too." I stayed silent for a while after that,i felt upset:(. Next day,we went to the doctor. I wasnt expecting my mom to humiliate me like that in front of 5-6 people. The clinic was very small. When it was my turn for the eye exam, the door was open, so people outside could see inside. The doctors area was also very tight and the spot where I had to sit and read the eye chart was in full view of others, so I could clearly see people watching while I was trying to read the letters and obviously..it was hella uncomfortable. As I was reading the eye chart, I kept getting a lot of letters wrong,obviously.. I was mixing them up like saying G when it was O and calling H a N,on the same line. My mom reacted,of course she did. She spoke, 'Oh my… can't you even read letters now? Have you forgotten how to read too?' Well wow mom..Why would you say that? Not gonna lie,the reason is obvious,i Cannot figure the letters out. Why do you think i have to wear glasses, huh? She is so dumb sometimes i swear to God..i dont know if she purposely does it or just to make me feel sad. My mom then asked the doctor,"If she can read few on the same line, why is she getting others wrong? Isnt she supposed to get everything on the same line?" The doctor said,"No." and she just said oh. LOL. Anyways,i didnt care much about it,i felt a bit embarrassed but kept on going. I wasnt able to read the last two lines then the doctor took those big *** glasses off and told my mom,"So thats how far she could go." Then mom speaks,"How much is her vision?" doc says,"A lot." mom says oh. Then my stupid mother goes on,"The reason is because of watching mobile and laptop, right?" I dont remember his exact words but he basically said that when he first had eye problems, there werent even phones or laptops around. Then he said sarcastically that if that were the case, everyone should just break all the laptops and phones at home. My mom replied, 'No, I mean… Allah{God} has given this problem.." I forgot to mention how much i was sweating during the reading thingy lol. Anyways, she was saying things like how it is my fault and this and that. I feel humiliated and embarrassed asf. She was like disappointed and I was trying so hard to hold back my tears, doing everything I could not to cry. Even my lips were trembling. I just stared at the ground the whole time before we left. After we left,i didnt expect my mom to scold me but i should have seen it coming since she always scolds me after these type of situations. She was saying,"It's your fault for not listening to me,i used to tell you to not watch devices so much. The people and the doctor now probably think im a bad parent. If you listened to me,nobody would have thought of me like that." Well wow..i feel like here she doesnt care about me,she cares more about being a good parent and what others think of her. She even said,"What big mistake I have done by marrying your dad. I wish i could leave you guys." Wow mom..cool. I teared up on the walk to home. I guess this is it..i have a LOT of things to vent about but i feel lazy to type :[ but i try my best xd. Anyways, thank you for your time:]

...See more Hi. I just need to vent because I'm feeling really sad. Today I was feeding a stray cat that my mom sometimes saves chicken bones for. The cat was eating on the tiled floor near our apartment. Afterward, my mom told me to clean the area with a different cloth instead of the one she uses to mop the house because she didn't want the mop cloth getting greasy. I didn't think it would matter, so I used the mop cloth anyway. She noticed and told me, "I saw that you mopped the floor with that cloth. Now you're going to wash it. Go." While washing it, I was already feeling frustrated and I deliberately dropped the cloth into the sink out of rage. Water splashed onto the floor. When my mom came over and asked, "What did you do?" I got scared and lied, saying the cloth had just slipped from my hand. She picked up a slipper. She didn't throw it but I honestly thought she was going to and i was ready to get hit lol n I got really scared too. She said, "Oh, you're lying now? You're going to clean this right NOW. You think you can lie to me? Do clothes fall from someone's hand with that much force that water would splash onto the floor?" Then she also said, "I'll leave you all," and, "You'll rot and die." (closest translation i got) Those words hurt me a lot. I started sweating so much that it was running down my forehead and face and I was trembling while trying not to cry. After everything happened, I ended up scratching my left arm with my short ahh nails because I felt so overwhelmed. Im fine though,im not hurt or anything. My grandma heard everything and asked what happened. My mom replied, "She lied. She threw the cloth into the sink on purpose out of stubbornness." I know I made mistakes. I know I should have used the other cloth. I know I shouldn't have thrown it into the sink out of frustration and I know I shouldn't have lied., I understand why my mom was angry. But I can't stop thinking about how scared I felt and the things she said to me. I just feel really hurt.  One thing that hurts me the most is that this isn't the first time she's said things like, "I'll leave you all." Whenever I make a mistake or she gets really angry, she often says she'll leave us or says other hurtful things. She Knows those words affect me deeply and hearing them over and over has become one of my biggest emotional weak spots. Even after the argument is over, those words stay in my head and make me feel scared and guilty.   I have rubbed my eyes too many times to wipe the tears away,it now hurts and feels dry lol. I cannot be caught crying by my mom. I never felt safe showing how upset im around her and probably never will be.

...See more Had an argument with my mom and I feel frustrated. For anyone who isn't familiar, the adhan is the Islamic call to prayer that's announced before each of the five daily prayers. The adhan started playing and my mom covered her head with a scarf. I didn't. She told me to cover my head too and said that I used to do it all the time. The reason I used to do it was because I honestly thought it was a religious requirement. Later, I learned that covering your head just because the adhan is being called isn't actually mandatory in Islam so I stopped doing it. Sometimes I still do it if I'm around other people because I don't want to get questioned or have to explain myself but most of the time I don't. After the adhan finished, I showed my mom that there isn't a rule in Islam requiring women to cover their heads during the adhan. Instead of discussing whether it was actually a religious obligation, she said she does it out of respect because that's how she was raised. I wasn't trying to stop her from doing it or tell her she was wrong for choosing to do it. I was only talking about whether it's required in Islam. Then the conversation shifted completely. She started saying things like, "Are you going to leave your head uncovered in front of men? You have to cover it anyway." In Islam, women are generally expected to cover their hair in front of men who aren't close relatives (often called non-mahrams) but that wasn't what we were discussing at all. We were talking specifically about covering your head during the adhan. What frustrated me wasn't that we disagreed. It was that the conversation changed to a different topic. I was talking about whether covering your head during the adhan is actually required in Islam but we ended up talking about covering my head in front of men. This happens a lot and it leaves me feeling like my original point never gets addressed. I don't mind disagreements, i just wish we could stick to the same topic. :/ Sorry for the long text

...See more My mom asked me to get a new bar of soap from the drawer. I said there wasn't one because I thought there wasn't. The last time I took a new soap out, I didn't see any others so I assumed we had run out. I didn't actually check the drawer this time and that was my mistake. Then she checked the drawer her, found a soap and immediately started saying, "So you lied," and "Now I know how much of a liar you are." The thing is, this isn't the first time. It happens a lot. If I say something I'm not completely sure about and it turns out to be wrong, I'm suddenly "a liar." It doesn't matter if it was an honest mistake or if I genuinely believed what I was saying. Being wrong and intentionally lying are two different things but it feels like she doesn't see any difference. I know I should've checked before answering and I'll admit that. But it really hurts to constantly be labeled a liar when I wasn't trying to deceive anyone. I was just mistaken. I dont even know why this affects me so much but hearing that over and over makes me question myself. Just realized how I made this a big deal lol..
