...See more This is my first post in the forums so, hi! tw: sexual assault I guess As a toddler my mom would often leave me at my grandparent's house while she was at work. She had lots of siblings, so when I was 3 or 4 she had siblings that were still in high school. To pass the time I would often lay in my uncle's closet with him on the clothes that were on the floor. I remember looking up in the dark closet and seeing board games stacked on shelves above. I used to think he was my friend. Later, a therapist told me this was "grooming". Other details I remember are his yellow walls (which I am only now at 21 learning to like the color yellow again) and he had a room near the roof so the ceiling was slanted. I remember my mom calling for me, but he wouldn't let me off his bed and I remember worrying I was going to get in trouble for not coming when called. When my mom finally got up to his room, my diaper/pull-up was still around my ankles and as my mom carried me away she said, "We aren't going to tell Dad about this." I told one of my friends my story because I've found it helps my recovery and they immediately shot me down when I said how old I was saying , "That's impossible, you were too young to remember." The other reaction I got was from my older brother's girlfriend. I found out my uncle was forcing my brother to hold his p*rn. She said, "It's a good thing it happened, because when it was caught, your brother was helped because of it."
