Any association of bipolar and psychosis?

...See more I'm diagnosed with bipolar and bpd mainly, I had a really messed up phase about a year ago, and let me tell you, my behaviour and the decisions I made at that time was something that i would never do and shortly I started having hallucinations and paranoia. I went for a check and I was told that I'm having a psychosis. I still don't understand how these are related? As a matter of fact were those decisions that I've made have any correlation to it at all? Was is the precedence of it or was I just acting out?
