Relationship Stress / by marsbursss

...See more hi! i am in a relationship with this guy- i have been with him for 11 months. during our *** 6 months i found out he lied abt playing pubg with his brother like mmm he wouldn’t respond at 12 and then call me at 5 to sleep- pretending like he accident fell asleep- i thought that was it- but then there was another incident abt a month ago where i figured out that he was talking to girls behind my back- even his ex- and i even found out he said he would get back with her but nah- i confronted him abt this and he said the ex thing was because he was being dumb but he was scared that i was gonna leave and just wanted to have friends just in case he gave them up for me- he kept a secret since the start of our relationship im pretty sure- he said he barely talked to them but this broke me, i didn’t know what to do. i gave him chances again after this. then a few days ago he lied again. i won’t say what- it was a very small lie like oh i didn’t do it when it’s clear he did. i honestly don’t know what to do, again with another chance but im just - yk? he said he felt overwhelmed that i would leave with over a lie so that’s why he lied and he thought i would get mad- i do have anger issues. anyway, i notice i think abt being with someone who didn’t lie to me, where i can find out cute stuff abt him rather than find out lies. idk what to do, i feel like conflicted i wanna stay i would rather stay but i always wanted a relationship where issues like these never happened- ik that’s probably unrealistic but yeah. idk to stay til he lies again or just leave now - i honestly don’t wanna leave but i want to at the same time- idk what to do.

...See more Just as the title explains. More insight, my bf uh two weeks ago did lie to me for 10 months abt his interactions with his ex and girls although it was very minimal contact. *** maybe this has smth to do with the way I am behaving with my bf. I notice I start arguments, assume, obsess over his past and always want to find smth. But this has been happening before him and i am a very insecure person and was hurt in the past- i never seem to take a breath and i just say stuff or assume stuff or attack my bf without knowing anything. like today i snooped around and he friended his ex on roblox and i got scared and hung up on him but it was when we weren’t together bc we thought we be better as friends but i began to overthink. and i made the decision to break up or a break on the spot - i am thinking of a break right now that way my bf can have a breather and maybe i can break this cycle. ? is this a good thing to do? how do i stop this? i think i have a lot of underlying issues

...See more Me and my boyfriend had a rough patch when I discovered he lied about his friendships behind my back. He denied talking to certain friends, kept in touch with female friends I wasn't comfortable with, and even mentioned considering getting back with his ex (though he never did). He said he didn’t know why he did that. He said he was scared and just wasn’t sure about giving up everything. Despite this, I'm giving him another chance (his last) because: • I love him deeply • I've seen genuine efforts from him to change • He's committed to transparency, showing me his messages • He's prioritizing our relationship, spending quality time with me However, I'm still struggling with trust issues, anxiety, and constant worries about what he might be hiding. I've also acknowledged my own past mistakes in the relationship, I also talked to people behind his back and never told him. I did talk to my ex as well but was transparent. We both want to change. I'm seeking advice on whether I'm being foolish for giving him another chance or if my instincts are right in believing he's genuinely changed. Help me decide if I'm making a mistake or taking a leap of faith.

...See more Me and my boyfriend have been together for abt 9 months, coming on 10 months. We r long distance, always has been. we haven’t met each other yet. anyway, recently me and my bf were fighting for like a week or two weeks straight if i remb because of my mood swings. we have found common ground for fighting. we aren’t currently fighting but not talking a lot. it breaks my heart. we r texting a lot and we do have calls. but he is a hard worker, he is constantly on the go with his parents. even doing rosarias for a week straight but it makes me worry/ i am someone who gets anxious abt stuff i can’t control like the future. we even had a fight about that because i like to ask question on what he thinks will happen for us in the future and he said he would rather live in the moment and not have a specific answer. but i am so worried right now. i just feel like idk we talk but it doesn’t feel yk. he is busy and i am not rlly as busy as him. *** it could also be the fact that we aren’t fighting which makes talk feel awkward well not awkward more just idk i feel like we r barely talking. i feel like smth is wrong and we have broken up before for thinking we r better as friends and i had a feeling right now i don’t have that feeling but i’m scared bc maybe i’m right maybe all this overthinking is right and i wanna prepare myself just in case we break up or yk we don’t make time for each other. i am so scared to lose him over this idk what more to do.. i get he is busy and i wanna stop worrying i ask if he still loves me idk maybe i’m clingy we do have independence in our relationship. i wanna make sure that this is the guy for the rest of my life and i’m not making a mistake since i’m 17 and he is 18 ik it’s young but i want it to work out so bad - maybe i feel like this bc we always call in the morning bc of his schooling currently and we haven’t since he is off idk i’m scared what if we r fading away idk how to stop overthinking every message feel like we r fading away i’m so scared i don’t want to lose him he feels like the one he is so sweet and amazing i look up to him as a person maybe he is rlly vague and not good at comforting but idc i want it to work idk i’m panicking rn i am also a catholic i’ve been praying but when i ask for signs it seems like it’s meant to be but sometimes well once it seemed like God didn’t want us together bc we fought and i asked if we could not fight that night if we r meant to be but other night it seems like he listens and makes it clear i do get a sense of peace but worrying idk i just wanna feel calm how do i know we r fading wwwy yk ugh

My dad made me dump my kittens off on the road. I feel horrible

...See more A bit of background. I am a teen who doesn’t know how to drive because my dad wasn’t rlly there half of my teen life, he returned abt 2 years ago abt 3 now but he still doesn’t rlly show me how to drive. My mom can’t drive. So, we have kittens from my cat(i want to get a job to neuter her; rn isn’t a good time bc i need to finish my school) anyway, my mom wanted to take responsibility for them because she got angry of me making sure the cats were outside doing their business in the backyard saying it was cold and I told her to take care of them because she was nagging about them and she did but this ended up being, me feeding the cats because my mom was on the phone with her boyfriend. (parents are not together) and i would find cat poop and pee inside the house, especially in their room and my little sister sleeps with them so I was worried because we had just closed the case with CPS but my mom still didn’t do it. My last straw was when she let them out on the front porch and they almost got ran over a bunch of times and she was standing there on the phone, talking to an another guy. My dad offered to take them and I did it with him, i thought maybe he would drop them off at a animal shelter. But what he ended up doing was he made me drop them off beside the train track and i think we were seen. But i ended up realizing my father isn’t someone i should be looking up to, i tried to talk to him about an animal shelter but he said no. There were cars and I can’t help but think i ended up killing them by my actions. They didn’t know better yk, they are kitten. My dad hates cats and dogs. But my dad acted normal and because i look up to my dad, I acted like it was okay. I’m trying to erase it from my memory snd pretend nothing happen but now i know because i use to have other animals that my dad most likely did leave them to die, I wanted to believe he didn’t but.. yeah. I don’t wanna become like my dad and not have a feeling or remorse towards animals because I mean i love my dad and a lot of what i do comes from his actions but this i don’t wanna copy this behavior. But i also don’t want to be like my mom, she is very dramatic about animals. I don’t have the nicest perspective on my mom, I am trying to be better because i know my mom dealt with a lot but my mom she loves animals but doesn’t want to take care of them and their feces or pee and will let the house get dirty and smell if it meant the animals lived there. She ended up calling the cops on my dad for this but they just ignored her call. I am very tired of my family. I feel like i am in the middle of my parents fighting, trying to get my siblings to listen and parent them while finding them something to eat because my mom won’t feed them and my mom help my dad pay the bills (she only pays one bill, which is the one less expensive and blows money on dresses) . I am tired. I have a lot of classes i need done in order to graduate this year. I am not doing the best. I have a very supportive boyfriend but I needed to vent again because i just don’t feel okay. I just. idk.

...See more I am dating someone who is the most amazing human being ever i am so happy that to be dating him. That being said, he has noticed i’ve been starting fights again recently. I’ve done this before and now where i start fights over the smallest thing. Like today we were on our morning call and he couldn’t hear me i got irritated and then i got mad when he started singing cuz i thought when he was ignoring me. It sounds dumb now but at the time I was upset. Then he said he notice that anything he does in the morning upsets me. It’s very little things like not being able to hear me, him telling me he can’t talk to me when he’s driving (the way he said, idk i’m very sensitive) and even just saying short stuff. A bit of background, growing up, half my life my dad and mom argued. I never felt heard. There was countless arguments with my dad and mom. My dad left me when i was 12 and came back when i was 15?16? But even now my dad gets mad at little things too and is yelling at my sisters when we are with him. I am a bit of a dad’s girl and look up to him too. I’ve heard this could be a reason for reacting the way I am with my boyfriend. Recently, well, actually since my dad came back, there had been arguments with my dad and mom about the bill. My dad is paying most of the bills while paying rent and my mom is only paying the light bill. My mom doesn’t clean the house and it’s mostly up to me to clean it. I haven’t been feeling the best lately so i haven’t been able to snd i feel helpless, i have to finish my schoolwork before break to graduate early, i have kittens my mom has been neglecting leaving the responsibilities on me but when i bring up giving the kittens to my dad so we can not deal with the worry of them getting ran over she gets mad at me. My dad is the only one in the family who drives. That’s what has been happening lately. But i do want to stop and not act that way towards my boyfriend as he is so kind like wow, i’ve never been treated like this or had a healthy relationship and i don’t wanna ruin it because it feels right and i just wanna be more like my bf like how he doesn’t get mad at me for little stuff and is very gentle i don’t wanna be the reason he can’t bring up stuff to me cuz i will get mad
