...See more Hi All, Definitely feel like an imposter posting in this thread as I haven't been diagnosed with BPD, but I have been struggling with my mental health for as long as I can remember. As a child I had issues with anger, getting angry and emotional at any and everything. Getting older I blamed how I felt on situations and stresses in my life; college work, boyfriend drama, un-employment, hormones etc... But now I am 20, I've been in a relationship for 4 years and I have a job that I LOVE. But now the stresses are gone and my life has settled quite a bit, I'm still feeling empty all the time, I still get fly into a rage over the smallest thing. I don't have any friends anymore - I fell out with my close friends at 16 and from then on I just can't make friends like I used to, I can't keep them around (I distance myself) Due to the above and other things I've decided now that I should go and see my GP about it, I'm VERY hesitant as I went to the GP when I was around 16 to talk about depression and self harm. I left being told I would be referred to counselling... I'm still waiting on a response. I just wondered if anyone had any advice for the appointment or stories about getting a diagnosis? I think I'm just feeling quite alone as everyone around me just goes on - would be great to hear from anyone! (Of course, I understand that it may not be BPD and the doctor will most likely say otherwise) Thanks all - L O V E
