My social anxiety

...See more Hi, I’ve had social anxiety since I was a child. I grew up in a home with a big family (extended family) and was always known as the “quiet one” by my close family and family that I’d only see occasionally. My cousin who is the same age as me was the “loud and crazy” one who spoke to everyone and was very outgoing. I know this is the route of my social anxiety. There’s a lot more to this story, but these have been the enforced roles for as long as I can remember. I really hate it and don’t know how to get out of it. I feel super anxious even when speaking to (semi-close) family over the phone or having to meet with them 1-1. I feel anxious in social settings & find it very difficult to speak to and approach strangers (asking questions, ordering food). I don’t like being on Zoom calls for uni and having to speak or answer questions and give presentations. It’s really starting to affect me a lot now as I’m an adult and need to be having these interactions. Any advice and support would be much appreciated. How do I help myself break out of this?
