I’m Mariela and I’m glad you found me here. It’s okay sometimes not to feel okay, but it’s also okay to get help. I may not be a professional therapist, but sometimes it already helps to just tell someone. moonstory has to be one of my favorite listeners of all time on 7cups. in the beginning, i actually ended up in our chatbox by completely mistake from the bot. i really didn't think much of it, just that moonstory wouldn't even respond or something like that. from the first message i got from moonstory though, i immediately thought: "wait a minute, a listener that doesn't seem illiterate and is actually engaging with me..?" moonstory was really understanding about everything, straight from the beginning and that was wild because i think that's sort of rare on this website, maybe? to get placed with a good listener who has good intentions and for the conversation to actually work out in a positive way. and the thing is, not only did i feel less alone in what i was going through at the time, i even laughed, which was such a mood booster. the more i spoke to moonstory, the more i realized i was one of the few lucky ones to find someone so attentive, someone who took my problems seriously but didn't treat me like i was incompetent or like a patient. it felt like i was just having a casual conversation about my problems with a friend and that was really nice. like, moonstory made it completely clear that they weren't trying to lecture me or make me feel bad, which even though i wouldn't take it in that way i think that type of reassurance is rare to find in people and it's an astonishing trait to have in someone, especially as a listener. so please give moonstory a try, you truly wont regret it. OH MY GOD I FORGOT ABOUT THE FAST RESPONSES. THAT. THAT RIGHT THERE. THAT IS SUPER GOOD, like that plus being respectful plus observing what i was saying and asking me how i felt and stuff, that was just truly great. THANK YOU MOONSTORY.
