...See more Hey everyone,  A few years ago I first hopped onto 7cups because I thought I was having a quarter life crisis. I felt behind and didn't know what else to do.  Fast forward to today, I turned 27 about a week ago. I finally chose a path for myself (teaching) and I've "made it to the other side" after three years. I feel like I'm having another crisis, because now I'm thinking, "now what?" Yes, I can focus on perfecting my craft in teaching. But the supposed next step is marriage and I don't think I'm ready for that. In my culture my age is pretty up there ("the clock is ticking" type of outdated thoughts). There has never been a someone else so I can't imagine being with someone else.

...See more hi! I think this community really relates with the title I have written. and it's quite literally what I'm facing right now--there are so many things I want to do in life and I wish I could do them all, but sadly we as adults have to conform to one (1) path in life. a part of me wants to do teaching, a part of me wants to do counseling, a part of me wants to be a research supporter/assistant, a part of me wants to go into graphic design, and the other part of me wants to stay home all day playing games. all of which I have experience in (maybe not so much the research part, but I do have the bachelor's for the field I would want to do research in). I don't want to keep working at this one job I've had for the past 2+ years. I just don't see myself growing there anymore, but job openings recently are starting to require masters for an entry level job. it's insane what the job pool has become, i don't want to get a master's and then regret getting it, because who knows, maybe I'll change my mind halfway through my master's and decide to do something else. so I've laid off getting my masters for two years, but I feel like it's come to a point where I need to start making up my mind. but I still can't make up my mind no matter how hard I try, and i keep measuring the pros and cons to every potential career path I have in mind and it's kept me in a frozen state.... does anyone have any advice on how to get unstuck?? or how to actually be solid in decision making?

...See more hi everyone, my name is starberry! I've been using 7cups from time to time for the past couple of weeks but I could definitely use more engagement. I'm 23F and need help getting unstuck in life. I have major depressive disorder and it's affected my life greatly, and there's a lot on my mind that I think wouldn't be proper for a general community thread. But I love this welcoming community, and Listeners have given me so much comfort recently. if you hadn't heard this today, and as a reminder to myself, we are not alone. Let's all heal together ❤️
