...See more My whole life, I've tried to minimize risk of potential hurt. It was only natural, protect myself. In doing this though, I let fear and anxiety control my actions. I slipped into a bad state of this for a couple weeks. I would say "what's the worst possible scenario" and then I'd try to eliminate any possibility of that happening. I've realized over the past couple days. If you try and eliminate pain from your life, you never live. You have to be okay with living with fear, and anxiety, and potentially getting hurt. The best thing you can do, is embrace it all. Be excited about the risk. Put yourself in a position in life so that if a risk doesn't pan out, that's ok. I'm so so excited about this new mentality. I have a tough relationship talk coming up tomorrow. I'm super excited for it. I'm excited to share this newfound mentality of mine. And if it doesn't go well? I'm excited to see how I bounce back. I won't let fear control me. It's always going to be there, and that's ok
