What do you journal about?

...See more If you have a journalling practice, what do you write about that has helped you to process your trauma? Or, what topics/prompts have been especially healing in the past? A stream of consciousness doesn't work for me, because my mind wants to retreat from emotion and I end up just writing about all the things I need to do. Some suggestions for how I think some focus for my journalling practice could really help!

4 weeks and I still haven't replied

...See more I met a friend through a volunteering experience a while ago. She finished her time here before me and said to me very directly that she would like to be friends.  A few months later, after thinking about the message I would send her every day for weeks, I finally reached out and said we should make a plan. We had a short exchange after that, but her most recent message to me was sent four weeks ago, and I still haven't opened it or replied. Every time I think about how I still need to reply to her I physically cringe I feel so ashamed. I think about how I need to reply multiple times a day but I still don't do it. How to I get myself to finally message, and how to I continue the conversation gracefully?

...See more Or is the stigma against women who are questioning real? I get it - the best way to come in to and accept your sexuality is to involve yourself in the community and start to put yourself out there for dates. But I feel like I'm in a bind. I fear that if I shared authentically - that I had no dating history with other women, was not out to my family, and was struggling in my confidence of my sexuality - I would be rejected or disliked. From what I see in discussions online, history or discrimination had left many in the LBGT+ folk suspicious of outsiders. I've seen people express quite strongly that they would not want to date someone who was not out, and suspicion toward especially women who are new to gay relationships or are still trying to figure things out. I know online spaces are not especially reliable as a source. So is this stigma real.
