...See more I need to vent just before christmas my partner told me he didn't love anymore, I was devastated it came out of the blue we have been together 12 years and have just brought a house together a year ago. We talked and decided that we were going to work on our relationship. He suffers with depression. He wouldn't go to couples counselling but is however going to counselling on his own as am I. He says he wants the relationship to work. I've had a feeling for sometime that his ex wife is involved somewhere along the line. I've been checking his phone when I can. Tonight I found messages between them. They have been messaging several times a day. The messages are flirty and talk about meeting up.calling each other gorgeous and beautiful. I know the relationship is done but for my own peace of mind I need to confront him with the fact that I know about these messages just the wipe the smug look of his face .

...See more Reassurance needed My partner told me 5 days before Christmas that he didn't love me anymore, there was no warning we have been together 12 years and have just brought a house together only been in the house since May 2020. We decided to put our relationship on a 'break' (still living in the house together, cooking and cleaning and clothes washes doing all that together still) He says that he wants the relationship to work out if we can as he doesn't want another failed relationship and it's been a good relationship so he says. Both of us are going to start counselling. Not together though because he said that he didn't feel like he could open up in front of me. Today he woke up and said that he was struggling with the whole situation, I thought he was going to say that he's done and can't do this anymore but he didn't he is still saying that he wants it to work out. I have been saying for a long time that his is depressed he seems to think not. Please need some kind words of support.
