Every effort is met with closed doors

...See more I was in a painful relationship for years only to be discarded. It shattered my world. But I gathered strength and I used all of it to focus on saving myself. I’m facing homelessness, I have no place to be with my kids, I have worked very hard to repair my credit only to have it threatened by an ex roommate that I had to get a pfa against, he stayed in the apartment and racked up a huge bill that he never paid. All the money I was using to try n get a place to live I now have to use to pay HIS bill. I have reached out to faith based organizations for help n got told no. I was told they would offer counseling and call me back. They never did. I reached out to a therapy program thru my job, never got a return call. I reached out to family only to be ignored, literally ignoring my texts asking for guidance and support and when I called to speak directly I got told sorry I don’t know what to tell you. My family never even came to see me to see if I’m ok or just to let me know they care. When I communicate how it made me feel I was dismissed with defensiveness and excuses, poor excuses at that. I tried looking for jobs closer to my kids so I can move close to them and theres literally nothing on my job search apps. Like it literally says zero jobs found. I feel as if there’s forces working against me! Like I can’t even get access to therapy! I’m desperate to heal and move forward and every effort is met with a closed door. How is this possible? I’ve endured so much, and I’ve done everything I can to repair what’s broken, to fix my life and it feels like god hates me. I have no friends. My family doesn’t care about me. I’m hurting so much and I’ve done everything self help app I can find. Why am I being punished?

...See more After three years with a man that I loved and gave my life to, he broke up with me. I didn’t set boundaries and that is what I learned from this. I gave him all of my time, put him before everything, everyone, and myself. I built my entire life around him, lived in his house, helped with his kids, met his every demand. I endured withholding, neglect, and a lot of other things that left emotional wounds. I became resentful and I coped in unhealthy ways that I regret. Then he broke up with me. Now I have to find a home, and I’m far from everyone I know. I still live with him and it’s painful. I struggle with grief, anxiety, low self esteem, and depression. I have only one friend who lives far away. I can’t afford therapy and I’m trying so hard to heal myself so I came here hoping to find support and comfort. Today’s been very hard with the sadness. I feel like I have let my kids down and that part is the hardest, the shame.
