Resentment towards Friends
Relationship Stress / by philosophicalBanana6205

...See more Hi all. Really just looking for some advice to work through some feelings I have about my college roommates. We lived together for the past three years but we are all in different states now. We try to keep up via online chats but I’ve found that I recently am dreading these conversations. Because of the undergraduate school we went to, all four of us lived in a small room and were sometimes confined to this space only for a couple weeks due to COVID. In some ways, this lead to us being closer but also seemed to create tension for me. I always feel left out because my values are different than theirs. I find it hard to share things about my myself because they always seem to misinterpret what I am saying. For example, one we were talking about characteristics of people we would date since only one of us did not have a bf at the time. This was when I was with my ex. Everybody was sharing and when I said I could date someone taller, they immediately started to suggest that I was leading my boyfriend on if I was saying that. I personally believe that not all relationships end in marriage but they believe that they date to marry. I responded that I wasn’t sure about marriage, and I felt bad about my responses and who I was. There are other instances where I feel that I am too different. Recently, I confided in one of them that I was questioning my sexuality. They were supportive but they sent me a letter that they were questioning too and that they weren’t copying me and that they hope I wasn’t mad. This made me feel really bad that I gave off that impression. I do take pride in being independent and an individual, especially since I value my time alone as an introvert. I am harboring a lot of resentment and I would appreciate any advice on this topic.

Guilt over ending a relationship?

...See more Hello. I am 100% aware that I know that I am the only one who can truly make this decision. I just would like some others to weigh in or just to let this off my chest. I have been dating my boyfriend for close to 2 years. I am recently thinking of breaking things off before we graduate from university. I feel really guilty about it however. I can’t get past this feeling of guilt, especially since we are in a good patch right now. However, we have been fighting a lot, and there are several issues that keep coming up. I am struggling because i have tried to communicate my feelings to him on multiple occasions, but he is always distracted and doesn’t listen to me. I know that I am not perfect but I have had the same issues with him the entire time of our relationship. I feel like he doesn’t respect my feelings or my values and constantly wants to joke around. Theres a lot of topics we can’t talk about because we just have two very different views and won’t agree. I really don’t mind hanging out with his friends but he always makes plans with them and then invites me afterwards like as an afterthought. He recently took one of our breaks that we planned to spend together and invited all of his friends. I tried expressing to him how I felt but he called me irrational and inflexible. He says that he thinks I’m a diva and high maintenance because i wanted flowers for Valentine’s Day and I was upset that he didn’t get them. my communication doesn’t seem to get through to him, and I don’t think I’m being treated well. I feel like it’s been one sided and I’ve done all I can. I just don’t really know where to go from here besides breaking up

...See more hi I am not sure if this fails under an ED but I constantly look at my body in the mirror. I am constantly picking up my shirt and looking at my stomach to see how much it bloats throughout the day. I do it even after using the restroom and people will walk in and I feel embarrassed. I am not sure how to stop looking at mirrors and judging my body
