Do I need to reevaluate my relationship?
Relationship Stress / by pioneeringVillage7057

...See more My boyfriend(28M) and I (28F) have been dating for 3 1/2 years. He’s my very first serious relationship and the only man I’ve been with sexually. I know the next step of marriage is approaching soon, and I’m getting cold feet. I don’t know if that’s normal or not… he’s the best partner I could ever ask for, but I do feel like I haven’t really gotten a chance to explore me. There are things that I know for sure that I have to work on and I won’t want to be 10 years in a marriage and not feel like I got to really learn about myself and explore myself. I don’t want to lose this relationship but I also don’t want to regret taking time to focus on myself. Any advice?

When did you know you were in love?

...See more The infamous question...When did you know you were in love and not just loved your partner? I’ve been with my boyfriend for 3 years and I honestly I love him dearly. I’m grateful to have him as a friend and lover. I know I’ve been head over heels in love in my first relationship ever. With him it’s different and sometimes I question if I’m truly in love? I’ve never asked him before because I’m afraid of the answer even if he says yes or no. 3 years is a long time to not completely be sure and this scares me. Wouldn’t I know by now if he’s the one? I go back and forth with this. We’re moving in together really soon and I hope during this time our love continues to grows and I know for sure that I’m in love. Have any of you all been in a similar situation or had similar thoughts?

How do I become more affectionate/passionate?

...See more I’ve been in a relationship with my current boyfriend for almost 3 years. However I still feel like I’m not fully comfortable being affectionate. I also feel like I don’t display passion towards him like he does him like he foes with me. Don’t get me wrong we are super close and we can talk about anything. He has every quality I could ever want in a boyfriend/husband. I just feel like when it comes to being intimate or passionate I don’t know how or can’t seem to show him that side of me. I think I’m concerned because my previous relationship although I wasn’t the best at it, I would say I felt more comfortable and less forced at showing it. However my previous relationship was with a female who was a close friend. So these are the only true relationships that I’ve ever had. And I hate to compare but I’m not sure what I should be feeling. I constantly ask myself: Is this normal? Am I not trying hard enough? Is it easier for me to be more affectionate with a female than a male? Is he not the one?
