my friend told me that in Buddhism they teach that bodily pleasures are hazardous because they can lead to attachment/ addiction/ suffering.

I like to believe I'm quite civilized, I'm always looking for ways to be a better more high quality human. I don't litter, I wear clean clothes. I shower and wear deodorant. I used to look like some criminal or gang member. With a hand tattoo. I got it removed and now I agree with the saying " you don't put a sticker on a Bentley." I don't drink and im a few months clean of marijuana. Trying my best to not do drugs.

My biggest struggle is adapting to this society. It is very hard to be normal, to work at a job. I can't believe this is reality and we are in survival mode everyday. Some people are built for this world and I'm just not one of them. What do people like me do? Wish somebody could help me.
