Self-sabotaging sucks

...See more I’m a 39 year old woman who very recently has realized the lengths I have gone to sabotage myself from unresolved past traumas. It’s difficult realizing the reason I am alone, my job isn’t going well, and that I have little to no direction is because of my own actions. What a way to kick someone when they are down, huh? I so desperately want to break free of my own self-destruction, but how do you break a habit that has been all you’ve known for over three decades? Curious if others here struggle with self-sabotage and if you’ve been able to grow and stop. I was in my lowest depression a couple years ago, and while I am not at that place mentally, I realize I’ve never actually come out of my depression- it just looks different. I want to live. I want to experience life. I want to find love and love myself. And at the same time, I cannot seem to get out of my head and hide. So I’m taking small steps. I’m on here. I’m reaching out to others.  I’ve always been a chatty person, so it’s hard to realize that through my own doing, I have no one to talk to. I used to be able to still manage through the self-destruction, but I can’t anymore. Happy to chat with anyone in the same boat, or a different boat. Just looking to chat with someone aside from myself for a change. xo
