...See more Hello! I have been struggling for over a year now with what i assume to be depression. I've not been diagnosed. I don't have money for therapy and i don't want to be on medication, as i am generally anti medication unless it's absolutely necessary. I don't find joy in anything anymore. It started a few months after moving to a new city. I find everything to be a chore now...taking a shower, brushing my teeth, cooking, cleaning. It's all too much work. I have no motivation for life. I used to love jogging and working out, but now i have no energy for that even though i know it would help. The fact that i have to walk to the gym sounds too exhausting. I get up and go to work every day because i have too, but i look forward to the weekends, not because i have big plans, but because i just want to lay around and do nothing. I'll even take days off just so i can lay on the couch all day watching tv. My friends don't seem to take me seriously. I think they just think i'm not trying hard enough to have fun. So my question is....how can i get myself motivated without medication? I am stuck in this city for another 18 months. I can't spend the whole time laying around getting fat on the couch (oh yeah, i also constantly shove food in my mouth, because i just don't care, nothing matters).
