...See more In all my years, I’ve spent it by finding a love that I usually find in books or films. I had one experience of an “almost” boyfriend, but that turn out to be an ugly experience. I’m 19F now, and I have never had my first kiss or even my first date. Honestly I feel like I’m missing out so much in my teenage year. Next year I won’t be considered a teen anymore. I start to think that there is something wrong with me, am I too tall? Too fat? Too independent? Too boring? And I’ve tried to change myself because of it. Now I feel like I’m too old to have any first. They call me desperate and I do feel desperate for a partner. Someone to be there for me always, to always check up on me. Someone to be my rock. But they also say that I’m still young, I have lots of time to fall in love. Yet I’m doubting that. Statistics say that as you get older, the harder it is to find a partner. It also says the higher the degree of a woman, the less chance for them to find a partner (I’m reaching for phd). I believe that to be true and I’m afraid I will be alone in this life.

...See more I’m 19F and I don’t enjoy the taste or the feeling of alcohol in my system. I had that phase where I enjoy partying, almost every week I went to a club or a party. But know I prefer not to drink and only drinking for special occasions (that too only a small amount). In this case it was a surprise birthday party for one of my relative. We were playing a round of games and my sister (22F) suggest to make it a drinking game. I play along but replacing my supposed drink (soju) with water. This results in me being called a party pooper (especially by my sister). I’ve always wondered why do you always need alcohol to be considered fun? I know I’m at that point of life where I’m supposed to enjoy alcohol but I genuinely don’t like the nausea or the headache that comes with it. So I stay far from it, why endure when I can avoid it. I’ve been to a lot of bars/clubs, as they are legal for my age in my country, and the people I go with, they tend to be disappointed when I say I don’t drink much. Even saying you should learn to drink. It’s not that I haven’t learn to drink, I have, and I know the tricks to prevent being drunk. So I ask again, are people only fun when they drink? Or is it only a fun hangout when we drink? I’m just saying, I’ve had my fare share of clubbing and I’m not fond of the taste of alcohol (and now going clubbing for me is boring as I don’t enjoy the feeling after it). Or am I wrong here?
