Hello! My name is Rosemary. I am 23 years old and I live in Florida. I am a high school computer science teacher and I absolutely LOVE my job! I've always wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl and even though everyone tells me the spark will wear out, I'm still as elated to begin each day as I was on my first day of school three years ago. Speaking of three years, I am also an online doctoral student studying Educational Technology! I am just beginning my second and final year of coursework we must compete before disserting. So many things that I'm researching are applicable to my classroom, so I'm always looking for ways to use what I'm learning to improve my practice. When I'm not teaching or studying, I love spending time with my boyfriend, my cat and my two horses. I live with my mother and I do enjoy spending time with her too, but things have gotten complicated between us lately. Well, they've actually been complicated as long as I can remember, but I just recently expressed my feelings about her controlling behaviors for the first time. That's actually the reason I first came here to 7 Cups: to talk about what I'm going through with her and also for general stress management. I know that I cannot change who she is or what she says to me: instead, I want to learn how to change my reaction and how it makes me feel! I'm getting there, and am incredibly grateful for any help. 😊
