Trying to understand my anxiety.

...See more Hi there. I want to thank you in advance for taking your time to read this long post. A year ago my life changed completely, but I don’t know why it changed. When covid started I was feeling very scared of it and everything that would happen next. It took me a month or less to realise that the news are supposed to make you feel scared, so I stopped feeling that way and I started thinking more maturely and calmly about all that situation. Then I started making some changes in my life for good and I became a new and better person. But there was something that I couldn’t fix because I couldn’t understand. My anxiety. I never had anxiety with symptoms before, and I started having nausea and difficulty to sleep more of the nights, I had to sit down in my bed and do deep breaths for hours until I was tired enough to close my eyes and forget what I was feeling. I was completely fine at daytime for a while, but then I started developing more symptoms, I didn’t want to eat, i didn’t want to go out and I also started shaking at night, then the worst came. Fast heart beat with palpitations and thoughts about I might die for some reason (not suicidal). I’m sitting down right now without knowing the reason of why is this happening to me. There’s nothing that triggers me. I sometimes feel really tired about this situation and feel that I won’t be strong enough to keep me going. Last week I searched for help for the first time ever. I spoke with a therapist about this and he said he would come back with a diagnosis and treatment for me. In the meantime I feel desperate, I have anxiety attacks and panic attacks for no reason at all. In any moment, at work, when travelling, when walking in the street, when laying down in bed... Is there any recommendations to actually find out why is this happening to me? Also grateful about any coping methods as the ones that I have are not working a lot. I’ve tried so far meditation, deep breathing, tapping meditation, acupuncture, journaling and cold water “shocks”. Sending love to everyone.
