How do you get over being cheated on?

...See more My husband and I met in elementary school, started dating in high-school, and have been married for almost 25 years. We have two children at home in their low 20's. Approximately 2 years ago, things were getting bad. I was feeling loney and we were fighting over stupid things that we're truly insignificant. As time progressed, we grew further apart. There was no emotional or physical connection. During this time, I found a hotel receipt, and he confirmed that he had been cheated on me. I was devastated and felt destroyed, humiliated and hurt being discription. I literally collapsed. We talked, I cried, and he said he had checked out a long time ago and had no more love for me. We decided to keep the peace and stay together until our daughter graduated. Things got better, I forgave him and we talked again and agreed to try to make it work, but I linger with the thought of him being with someone else. I can't get it out of my head. I want to be happy and playful, but the betrayal lingers and makes be feel less then what I know my worth is. First I would love to know if anyone has been in a position of trying to work through forgiving someone after something like this happened. Second, I would like to know how to get passed, if it's even possible. Our daughter is graduating this week, we are having a party at the end of the month, and I am planning on having a heart to heart talk with him again because the betrayal and loneliness still lingers because I am having trouble getting past it all. Any invite would be appreciated.
