This breakup has destroyed me
Relationship Stress / by squid4ink

...See more Before I found my ex I was suffering from very bad depression because of extreme loneliness. I am very isolated so I do not meet people, but I needed a romantic, loving, and honest relationship and I was very lucky to find my ex. I relied on her for all of my support. She was the only real friend I had, and even though it was a long distance relationship (because I met her online) she made my life worth living. She was very patient even though I was very needy of her and draining of her and she loved me to death even though I was. Unfortunately as the relationship progressed she changed. She lost interest in me and cheated on me, but because she was all I had I forgave her when she decided she missed me and wanted to come back. Many months later, on my birthday, she broke up with me because she was bored with me romantically. This completely destroyed me. The only other people I could go to were friends of hers I had met through her, but she started to lie about me to her friends so that they would not talk to me so she could sever all ties with me. She blocked me on all of her accounts. It has been a few weeks and I have had a little time to heal, but I am back to the way I was before I had her except much much worse. I cannot enjoy any aspect of life, it seems, without knowing that I have the security of a relationship, and knowing I have someone. I have no chance at all of meeting someone new. I was incredibly lucky to find her, and I won't have that same luck again. Besides, I don't think I could love the same way or trust the same way I trusted her ever again. I feel so broken. Everything seems meaningless now and nothing makes me happy. I don't really think there is anything I can do about it. There is no escape.
