...See more I'm 32. When I was a child I had health issues, and as a result when I was a teenager the idea of me dating was something of a joke to the other students in college. It also meant I struggled to find a job. Eventually I got a job, but I worked from home. I volunteered to try to meet more people, but I never met anyone close to my age. I started studying online, and I had surgery to fix some of the problems my earlier health problems had caused. Now I am in the second year of an undergraduate degree. I have never been on a date and I really want to experience this part of life but I am living in a very small town where most people are students aged 17-21. I will be another two years before I graduate, and I'm really tired of being on my own. I've learnt everything I can about who I am alone, and I don't feel I can develop any further emotionally without the opportunity to experience a relationship, and I'm bored and frustrated. Almost all of my school friends are married. I'm doing well at uni (got an A in both modules last semester) but it just feels like an empty achievement because it really doesn't matter. I just want to be with someone and share life for a while now.
