OCD attacking at the worst times

...See more constantly I find ocd acting up at the most exiting times. For example, I had my birthday recently and it was the worst my ocd had been for awhile. I had Consistent compulsions all day. Or if I'm watching the finale of a show, or hanging out with my friends on plans we had for a month ocd attacks me. Is this normal? Does anyone have a similar experience?

...See more I have never been clinically diagnosed with depression. But recently my family life and self esteem/self love have been at an absolute low. Making me feel lost sad and hopeless. For the past month I can't recall not feeling this constant heavy feeling. I don't want to say "oh yeah I think I have depression" to my friends because I don't want to seem like I'm craving attention. Because maybe I don't have it. Should I tell my friends? Does it sound like I have depression?
