...See more I am 18-year-old girl and almost 5'8''...and there is this guy, who is shorter than me (almost 5'4") and he is always going on about my height and how I will never find a boyfriend, and how I should 'reduce' my height (how should that come about, pray sir?) and other silly stuff which I grew up listening. What's bothering me is that I never spoke up against him or made a nasty comment about his own height. I only ignored and made fun-spirited banters...and now that I think back, I should have smashed the guy then and there with words, because I am tired of being a stupid doormat. I am too dumb, I believe. And usually my anger just bursts inwards, and I end up hating myself for not doing the right thing. And I can't stop rewinding back to that moment. Suddenly, all others moments of my social ineptness and examples of me being trampled on by girls and guys alike...it just makes me so sad, as to why stuff must always happen to me, and why must I be so passive, why don't sharp remarks come to me as a default reply. Believe me, I have been through worse problems, it's not the only one, but this certain problem is so immature, I don't want to talk about it to a listener or therapist. But it's bothering me the same.
