Relationship Stress / by understandingJet5878

...See more I'll provide you with a little background information. I am a junior in high school and my boyfriend is a freshman in college. He is attending a local college. I do a lot for him and most of his friends are away at college. Recently I have found my self in a predicament. I am currently in a relationship that has lasted 16 months. About a month ago my boyfriend and I got into an argument. He felt like I was neglecting him and that I didn't make enough time for us. This hurt me a lot because I told him all about my busy schedule. Since I'm the president of my class, a leader in one of the biggest events in our community, in clubs, playing soccer all year long, and looking at colleges I haven't had time to hang out every moment. We hadn't hung out in about a week or two, but that's because I didn't have any free time. He knows how important these things are to me but still decided to make me feel bad. I began to feel bad every time I did something that wasn't hanging out with him. After a few days of much needed space he began apologizing profusely. Eventually we made up but things were never quite the same. Fast forward to now and I've begin to think that I'm not in love with him. I still think that he's a wonderful human being and I believe we would be great friends, but the stress of a relationship has affected me so much. Maybe I'm just overreacting, I tried to smooth things over, but it doesn't feel right. I don't want to cut him out of my life because he's still important to me, but I know if we break up he won't handle things well. I could really use some advice. This has been stressing me out all the time.
