Questioning friendship and relationship boundaries

...See more I’ve been overthinking a little bit too much about girl vs. boy friendships while someone gets in a relationship. My male bestfriend just months ago told me we could no longer have that bound because of jealousy and trust issues of a girl I never knew of. I tried to accept that although it hurt so much, I told him it was okay, and everything was on text. He blocked me after I ignored him to avoid problems since he told me I couldn’t be close or friendly. This really made me question if I was irrational on acting how I did. Because from what I see it, the best way is to involve both parties to at least talk about it. I think he liked me at a certain period of time but I never tried to do something since I didn’t wanna confuse his actions. From my point of view there is a misunderstanding and Idk if I should reach out.
