...See more As a person who's been diagnosed with it for over 5 years, I often come across people unable to understand it, or even believe it. My first experience with it was when I joined a supposedly metal health app. Someone who didn't know me personally, assumed I was. lying and told people not to believe me, which made me finally quit said app. I think it is very common for people not to understand what it is, and try to downgrade it. Situations like this often make me dissociate even more, so it is safe to say that I avoided forums for a while. I found this community, so I hope to meet a lot of people who can share experiences, and we can help each other as well.
