Feeling lonely and empty

...See more I've had mental health issues my entire life, I came to this app and an attempt to stop venting to chat GPT because my entire life I felt like if I don't share my problems or my hurt and get feedback I'm not making progress. I'm now at a point in my life where people who I thought would be in my life forever are gone, and I worry that there is no where safe online to say that I'm struggling. I've been trapped in this pattern for as long as I can remember, I think the first time I struggled with unaliving ideation was in 2nd grade. I've since managed to grow away from that specific problem but the damage that issue and my personal actions have done is irreversible at this point. I feel this insermountable shame and guilt around myself and my past. I feel basic questions people would ask me about my life send me into a spiral. I feel my potential in life is down the drain. I wonder if I'll ever be a person I'll actually like again, or someone others can rely on. If anyone wants to contribute to this post in any way I would appreciate it. Even if the only thing you say is 'same" that's so so welcome.

28 year old loser
Work & Career / by xxxbluebirdxxx

...See more Hey. I'm a 28 year old loser who's about to graduate with a degree I have no passion for working an entry level job most people my age use as side gigs. I have no self esteem and as a result everyone hates me and it makes me want to cry. I want to know if things can get better for me, or if I've burned all my goodwill. Most people look at me like I'm an idiot, and I'm so burned out on proving myself to people who don't respect me. The worst part is I really feel like they shouldn't. I've been in and out of therapy so often in life, I constantly wonder when I should cut my loses. I think most people whove known me irl would tell me to do a flip if I threatened myself. I have things I want to do with my life but I'm so afraid that I've made so many mistakes I should just let go. I really wish I could make a difference and feel secure in myself again and having a career in something I can stand by would be the biggest difference but I don't know if that's possible.
