Need to talk to someone?

Welcome to 7 cups of tea. We all live the course of our lives by choosing different paths. Each one of us are unique and special because of the choices we make for ourselves in life. And there is this one thing which connects all of us and makes us one...........it happens when we reciprocate love, feel the pain of others and offer consolation and peace to someone who is in dire need of it. The most amazing thing is, it requires nothing; but a sensitive, emotional, and compassionate heart and a little bit of time to be there when someone is in pain. At times, when it hurts a lot....a little hug, a tap on the back, and a soft cuddle could do the Midas touch. It is much more powerful than those thousand irrelevant conversations. Hence, if you want me to be with you, walk by your side and be a silent friend whom you need to vent out ........reach out for me for an in-depth and personalized conversation aimed at a process of not only listening but making sure you feel understood and healed.

A much older -- and I'd like to believe wiser -- person with widely varied life experience, I've been married nearly 40 years and helped raise two great kids. I've been hearing people out forever offline, as a friend and relative, but also in my career as an interpreter. We are trained to listen to what people are saying and understand what they really mean. Sometimes "mhm, I see" is all you need, but a lot of people would like more active listening and support. I try to give that, and always with a sense of humor to help lighten the load.
