Today's challenge is:

To take in nature and enjoy the surroundings. Take a walk, bike ride, have a picnic, play in the park, go fishing, etc.

I am planning on going for a walk on a trail that we just discovered.

What do you plan on doing to sit with nature and enjoy the surroundings?

I am trying to go on three walks today - I already have done one of my three walks. It's tough, because the temperature is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit with the heat index, but it is SO worth it to get out of doors! :)

That is awesome to hear that you have already done 1 of your walks. That is really hot. I know we decided to go to the State Fair today and walked for 3 hours and was really happy that it wasn't hot and the clouds were out today. How long do you usually walk and what season do you like to walk in the most?

@DanaMH

I would say late Fall or early Spring, when it's just a bit chilly, but not so cold you need a hat or gloves. But also this time of year. One of my favorite things to do is to step on pine cones that have fallen, and to hear the crunch. It's one of my loveliest sensations, the crunching of the cones. :)

So any-hoo, I had to go to the airport today, and I ended up parking much further away than I needed to, so I got extra steps in. So I'm counting that as my second walk. When the sun goes down, going to get my third walk in I think. :)

That is awesome that you got your 2nd walk in. Getting those steps in is very important also. I also like the spring and fall. When things start growing and the leaves start changing colors.

Yes definitely on the changing of the seasons - so beautiful!

Update: Third walk accomplished. Got my steps in! Woo! Tomorrow I'll be going for about a five mile run first thing in the morning, so I'll have all my steps in right away. Great way to start my day. Have a lovely rest of your today and tomorrow! :)

@carefreeHeart57

Of course it does since bugs fly around in nature. smiley
